I have felt a great sense of pride over the last few weeks, when reading the Success Stories that Easy Way students have been sending in. Thank you to those of you who have had the courage to share your story with me!
As a teacher, there is no greater reward than to hear that my students have taken those tools and techniques and used them to overcome the obstacles, achieve their goals and find a greater passion and joy for the art of photography!
That’s enough about me – it’s time to introduce Tabitha Dawes and share her ‘Success Story’.
Tabitha has been continually inspired by the ‘Easy Way Photography’ weekly email tips and although unable to participate in the current courses due to a work injury limiting her income, Tabitha has been inspired to take her camera everywhere, to look for beauty in places where most do not look and to not be afraid to share her photos with others, irrespective of the responses to her imagery.
Now that shows great courage. Well done Tabitha!!
Tabitha lives in Anza in the USA and has had an interest in Photography for years. She has captured imagery which she considers to be rated from mediocre to outstanding – haven’t we all!
Working with a Photoshop version that is extremely old and outdated has been frustrating, however Tabitha has found a workaround by taking photos on her mirrorless camera, uploading them to her Pc, then copying to her phone to use the Lightroom app to edit her images to obtain the final outcome. Where there is a will, there is a way!!!
“I love colour but also love the depth that a black and white image can have. Many photos that I capture may start out as an average image in the colour version and it is only when I convert them to black and white, that they morph into something that truly excites me!”
While Tabitha has yet to submit any photos into competitions, she has shared them on a local Facebook photo page in the town where she lives, receiving lots of praise. Tabitha has also submitted images to the local newspaper, with many of them being printed on the front page.
Tabitha hopes to start working again soon, and plans to invest in some newer software and a better camera to be able to then use Adam’s tutorials to move forward with her photography.
“Thank you so much Adam for the inspiration that you have given me on my photography journey.”
Tabitha has shared several images with us, and while they are not Landscape in genre, it is a reminder to all that ‘Easy Way’ methods can be used successfully on any subject.
Thank you so much to Tabitha for sharing her inspirational ‘Success Story’. I hope that you enjoyed hearing about one of our fellow Easy Way Students, as much as I did! So proud of Tabitha for showing such courage in sharing her beautiful images and her story with us!! Enjoy the latest Photoshop software when you eventually get your hands on it Tabitha!
